Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University`s piano ensemble, women`s choir, and brass choir and orchestra will present concerts on Nov. 15, 18, and 19 respectively. The piano ensemble will perform Monday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center. The ensemble is directed by Cedarville resident Dr. John Mortensen and features Jennifer Barham, Sarah Buller, Maggie Hansell, Diana Kurin, Rachelle Snavely and Clarissa Wagstaff. They will perform music by American composer Aaron Copland. The women`s choir will perform Thursday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall. The women are directed by Cedarville resident Beth Cram Porter and will present works by J.S. Bach, Allen Koepke, and Jakob Handl, as well as several Christmas selections. The brass choir and orchestra will perform Friday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. The concert will include brass ensemble music by Ewazen and Gabrieli. The orchestra`s portion will include the overture from RUSLAN AND LUDMILLA by Glinka, the overture from DIE FLEDERMAUS by Strauss, and a complete performance of Beethoven`s Fifth Symphony. Both groups are under the direction of Centerville resident Charles M. Pagnard, professor of music. Admission is free for all events and the public is invited.
