Noted Pianist and Preacher to Speak at Cedarville University

Cedarville, Ohio—Noted pianist and preacher Dr. Richard Allen Farmer will be the guest speaker for Cedarville University Chapel on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The program begins at 10 a.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. Farmer, who began playing the piano at age 11, blends his music with his expository preaching as a means of inspiring, motivating, challenging, and entertaining. An experienced pastor and college chaplain, Farmer has served as senior pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and as dean of the chapel at both Gordon College and Taylor University. Farmer holds a bachelor of music degree from Nyack College and a master of divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He has been awarded the honorary doctor of divinity degree by Gordon College and the honorary doctor of sacred theology degree by Houghton College.
