C.S. Lewis Presentation Slated at Cedarville University

Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University will present "Not a Tame Author: Visiting C. S. Lewis` Imaginative World" on Monday, April 11. The presentation will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 245 of the Engineering, Nursing, Science Center on the Cedarville campus. Dr. Bruce L. Edwards will speak on Lewis` place in contemporary culture and the December 2005 release of a motion picture based on Lewis` novel "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe." He will also share insights regarding his time spent at Lewis` home, The Kilns. With numerous publications on Lewis and the literary arts, Edwards is an internationally respected C.S. Lewis scholar and teacher. He has two books due out later this year on Lewis and Lewis` fictional land of Narnia. A Fulbright Scholar, Edwards is a professor of English and associate dean for distance education and international programs at Bowling Green State University. "Dr. Edwards is extremely knowledgeable about the life and work of C.S. Lewis, and he is a personable public speaker. I`m delighted we can have him on our campus and present him to our community," said Dr. Scott Calhoun, assistant professor of English at Cedarville University.
