Cedarville Forensics Team Takes Second Place Sweepstakes Award at Tournament

Cedarville, Ohio-The Cedarville University Forensics team won the second place sweepstakes award at the recent Holiday Frolic tournament at The Ohio State University. The team topped approximately 34 other colleges and universities from around the country, including the nationally recognized teams of Florida State University and Kent State University. Top team performances were led by varsity team member Autumn West (senior from Greenback, Tenn.), who took first place in rhetorical criticism, and novice team members Karen Williams (sophomore from Midlothian, Va.) and Mallory Fisher (sophomore from Delmont, Pa.), who took first place in novice informative and novice impromptu, respectively. The forensics team is coached by Cedarville residents Matthew Moore and Derrick Green, who are assistant professors of communication arts.
