Cedarville University Names New Academic Vice President

Cedarville, Ohio—Dr. Robert W. Milliman has been named academic vice president at Cedarville University. The Springfield resident will assume his new responsibilities July 1. Milliman currently serves as dean of Cedarville`s School of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Bible, a position he has held since 2004. He came to CU from Central Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS) in Plymouth, Minn., where he served as a professor and assistant to the dean. Over the course of his career, Milliman has served in various administrative and education positions, including chair of the CBTS New Testament department, associate professor of theology at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wis., and principal at Faith Baptist Christian School in St. Paul, Minn. He also has 13 years of pastoral experience. Milliman earned undergraduate degrees at the University of Minnesota and Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minn. He holds Th.M. and M.Div. degrees from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in theological studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. Cedarville University President Dr. Bill Brown said, "We look forward to Dr. Milliman's leadership in the academic area.
