Associate VP Named at Cedarville University

Cedarville, Ohio-College administrator Dr. Andy Runyan has been named associate vice president for academic administration at Cedarville University (Ohio).

Runyan comes to Cedarville from his role as vice president for academic and student affairs at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio. Prior to that, he served as the director of the eCollege at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. Runyan also has been the dean of information technology and the dean of engineering technologies, agriculture, and public service at Clark State.

In his new capacity, Runyan will oversee academic support programs and initiatives, as well as advise the academic vice president in administration, planning, and budgeting. In particular, he will provide leadership in the areas of faculty development, online education, and general curriculum review and development. He will also serve as an associate professor of management.

Runyan received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in manufacturing management from the GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and holds a Ph.D. in computing technology in education from Nova Southeastern University.

Upon announcing Runyan's appointment, CU Academic Vice President Dr. Robert Milliman said, "Andy is a fine leader with a humble, servant's heart.
