CU Hosts Annual Missions Conference

Cedarville, Ohio- This year’s Cedarville University Missions Conference, titled “Going and Making Disciples,” emphasized the call for Christians to share the gospel throughout the world. Approximately 70 missionaries, representing nearly 40 different agencies, were a part of the January 9-11 event.

At 10 a.m. each morning, a different guest spoke on various topics relating to missions. The executive director of Muslim ministries for the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism spoke on Tuesday, Jan. 9. On Wednesday, Jan. 10, Ray Hutchison, east central regional director for Serving in Mission spoke. Phil Renicks, vice president of the international ministries department for the Association of Christian School International, spoke Thursday, Jan. 11.

Dr. David Stevens the keynote speaker, addressed conference attendees each evening. Executive director of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, Stevens represents the nation’s largest faith-based organization of doctors. As spokesman for 17,000 doctors, Stevens has been interviewed for NBC's “Today Show”, “NBC Nightly News”, MSNBC, BBC-World Television, Newsweek, USA Today,, and National Public Radio. He has also appeared on “Focus on the Family”, FOX Family Channel, PAX-Television, Tech TV, The Odyssey Channel, America's Health Network, and many other national outlets.
