by Public Relations Office - Cedarville, OH

Cedarville, Ohio-High school students (public, private, and homeschooled) from the Dayton area can explore the field of nursing firsthand at Cedarville University’s Nursing Day on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Those interested in nursing will have the opportunity to attend an introduction to their respective fields, observe demonstrations, and interact with University students, faculty, and alumni. Parents can attend special sessions on preparing for the program and gaining financial aid. A Q & A panel of Cedarville nursing graduates will shed light on the daily responsibilities of a nurse, how Cedarville prepares future nurses, and career opportunities.

Nursing resources such as the Barrett Clinical Lab, which is equipped with industry-standard technology for on-site learning of basic clinical skills, and the 20-station multi media lab will be open for viewing. There will be a demonstration on how various computer programs are used in nursing.

Cedarville’s Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (B.S.N.) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Ohio Board of Regents, and the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Nursing Day is free and registration begins at 10 a.m. Students planning to stay overnight in the residence halls must make reservations by Monday, Jan. 8. For more information, call 1-800-CEDARVILLE or register online.
