Cedarville, Ohio-Don Humphreys, a 1989 Cedarville University alumnus, has been named director of Cedarville University's new Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Humphreys comes to Cedarville from S4NetQuest in Columbus, Ohio, where he served as a senior instructional design consultant. He was also an adjunct professor at Cornerstone University (Michigan).

The CTL which Humphreys will lead is located in Cedarville University's Centennial Library and will feature a training center and production facility to assist faculty with technology and teaching resources such as video, instructional design, and Web development. As director, Humphreys will collaborate with the academic leadership to promote a centralized and coordinated approach to faculty development and innovative instructional practices.

Director of Library Services Lynn Brock, who helped spearhead the CTL, says Humphreys' experience in corporate education and instructional design will be an asset as he becomes the Center's first director. "This will be a year of discovery, analyzing needs, and assessing programs - done in concert with department chairs and the associate academic vice president," Brock noted.
