Forensics Team Highest-Ranking Among Christian Schools

Over Easter weekend, the CU Forensics Team traveled to Eau Claire, Wis., to compete with 86 other schools at the National Forensics Association National Tournament. Cedarville competed with 14 other schools in the President's 1 Division (based on entry size) and took eighth place.

Cedarville was the highest-ranking Christian school at the event and tied with Kent State University as the top Ohio school.

The team hosted an Easter sunrise service before competition on Sunday, and nearly a dozen competitors from at least three different schools joined in. The CU team also wore cross lapel pins during competition on Easter, which was a significant statement in this context.

The team is coached by Matthew Moore and Derrick Green, who are assistant professors of communication arts.
