Kathy Freese, associate professor of exercise and sport science, was recently inducted into the Ohio District 7 Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Kathy coached for 20 years (1971-1991) at Perrysburg High School in a variety of sports. She was the head girls basketball coach from 1973 to 1990 and the head girls volleyball coach from 1974 to 1984. Her basketball teams won nine league championships and two district titles and had one regional runner-up finish. Kathy served as head women’s basketball coach at Cedarville from 1991 to 2001. The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has honored Kathy by naming their annual Division I player of the year award after her.
