Noted Author/Evangelist to Speak at Upcoming Conference

Cedarville, Ohio-Nationally known author/evangelist Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr.will be the featured speaker at the 2006 Cedarville University Fall Bible Conference August 21-24.

Baucham will speak five times during the four-day conference. Cedarville University President Dr. Bill Brown will open the conference by speaking on Monday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Baucham will speak at the 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. services on August 22 and 23 and at the 10 a.m. session on August 24.

An author and Bible teacher, Baucham has been called an "evangelist to intellectuals." His unique blend of biblical exposition and relevance make him a unique and compelling voice in modern evangelical circles.

Baucham was born in Los Angeles and raised by a single mother. After his spiritual conversion while a student-athlete at Rice University in Texas, he transferred to Houston Baptist University during his senior year to pursue theological training and earn a degree in Christianity and sociology. From there Baucham earned a master's degree from Southwestern Seminary and a doctorate from Southeastern Seminary.

All of the conference sessions will take place in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. The conference is free and open to the public.

The sessions will be broadcast on CDR Radio, The PATH®. Evening sessions can be heard live at 7:30 p.m. and morning sessions will be aired at 11 a.m.
