CDR Names New GM

The CDR Radio Network has named Marvin Sparks as its new general manager. Marv succeeds Paul Gathany ’63, who retired after nearly 45 years of service.

Marv, a Spring Valley, Ohio resident, brings decades of media and ministry experience with him to his new position at CDR. He had previously worked as general manager and CEO of Christian radio and television stations and as a radio personality at NBC. Marv has also served on the boards of the Christian Management Association and Narramore Christian Foundation.

A spokesman at Cedarville University stated, “We believe that Marv brings the experience, passion, and talent needed to build upon the strong foundation laid by Paul Gathany and to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by advances in technology and changing media formats.”

CDR Radio, The PATH®, is a nonprofit Christian radio network providing news, Christian teaching programs, and music. The network operates 14 stations serving portions of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, as well as a live feed over the Internet at The PATH® is a community-supported media ministry of Cedarville University.
