Cedarville, Ohio—Instrumental music lovers, lend me your ears. As fall comes to a close, and the air cools down, talented students will warm up their instruments for an evening of spectacular music. The echo of big bands and small brass choirs will soon resound at Cedarville University during the 2007 Brass Choir and Symphonic Band Concert on Nov. 19.
The night will feature two unique instrumental groups. The Brass Choir, a small group of brass instrumentalists, is lead by Charles Pagnard. This troop’s production will be directly contrasted by the evening’s other performing group. The Symphonic Band, a full-sized concert band, plays under the direction of Michael DiCuirci. The groups will perform pieces by a variety of composers such as Bach, Holst, Ewazen, Camphouse, Balmages and more.
“It is always exciting to close the semester with the Brass Choir and Symphonic Band,” says DiCuirci. “It will be a grand evening of wind music.”
