Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University will present an evening of both vocal and instrumental showbiz music in a pops concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 30.


A perennial favorite, the concert will feature various pieces, including the classic “Ol’ Man River” from Showboat, performed by the men’s glee club. The vocal ensemble Jubilate will sing a medley of songs from the children’s video series VeggieTales, while the CU Orchestra will feature music from films such as Forrest Gump and Mission Impossible. The jazz band will also perform several favorite jazz standards from their repertoire.

The concert will take place in the Jeremiah Chapel of Cedarville’s Dixon Ministry Center. Admission is $5 and the performance is open to the public. All ticket sales go to benefit student scholarships. For more information, call 937-766-7728.
