Mastermedia CEO to Speak at CU

Cedarville, Ohio—Dr. Larry Poland, founder, chairman, and CEO of Mastermedia International, will speak at Cedarville University on February 13-14 in the University’s Dixon Ministry Center.

Poland founded Mastermedia in 1985. Mastermedia International is a unique ministry to leaders of film and television in Hollywood and New York. The organization seeks to “build bridges of communication between Christians in America and top programming companies,” according to their Web site.

Poland is a graduate of Wheaton College with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary and master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University in college administration.

Prior to founding Mastermedia, Poland had been a pastor, radio station founder, college professor, and president. He had also directed multiple programs with Campus Crusade for Christ.

In addition to his diverse vocational background, Poland has written six books, including The Last Temptation of Hollywood, 2084, and Master Key.
