Student Receives Prestigious Engineering Scholarship

Cedarville, Ohio-Donald Murray Vasser, a senior mechanical engineering student at Cedarville University, is one of 136 engineering students nationwide to receive a scholarship from Tau Beta Pi (TBP), the national engineering honor society. Selection of TBP scholars is based upon competitive criteria including high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. Vasser will receive a cash award of $2,000.

Vasser is a native of Waterflow, N.M., and a member of Cedarville’s Ohio Nu chapter of TBP.
Cedarville University’s Elmer W. Engstrom Department of Engineering and Computer Science offers ABET-accredited B.S.M.E. and B.S.E.E. programs as well as B.S.Cp.E. and computer science programs. Cedarville students have an exceptional track record in professional society collegiate design competitions, and CU engineering graduates have a Fundamentals of Engineering exam pass rate higher than the national average.
