Cedarville, Ohio—The sounds of the trumpet will soon echo across the Cedarville stage, showcasing the skill of the University's talented faculty.
Professor Charles Pagnard will present a trumpet recital on Friday, April 18. Spotlighting Pagnard's musical artistry, the recital is a collaborative effort as various musicians and instruments accompany the trumpeter.
Cincinnati pianist Donna Martin and Cedarville professor Jun Kim will join Pagnard to perform Eric Ewazen's Trio for trumpet, piano and violin. The Cedarville percussion ensemble and professors Bruce Curlette and Michael LaMattina will perform alongside Pagnard in playing Carlos Surinach's great Spanish work "Ritmo Jondo."
Pagnard is a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Carillon Brass Quintet. He also conducts Cedarville's brass choir and teaches trumpet at the University.
The public is invited to attend this free recital and enjoy a relaxing evening full of musical sounds and performers.
