Cedarville, Ohio—“Music is the one incorporeal entrance into the higher world of knowledge.” Ludwig van Beethoven spoke those words in the 1800s, and Dr. Jack H. Coldiron, a distinguished professor and singer with more than 50 years of experience, will bear witness to those words during a recital at Cedarville University.
Over the last five decades, Coldiron, aged 82, has cultivated his baritone voice, keeping it youthfully vibrant by performing and teaching. His recital, featuring selections by Bonocini, Handel, Poulenc, Butterworth, Grieg and more, is sure to delight the audience.
Coldiron currently teaches at Baylor University as an adjunct professor of vocal studies.
Accompanying Coldiron on the piano is Sara Davis, a native of Tupelo, Miss. Davis began accompanying at the age of 13 for choirs and private voice lessons. Later, she received a piano performance degree from the University of Mississippi. She met Coldiron at the School of Church Music of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Come and bring your family to enjoy the classics of Jack H. Coldiron and Sara Davis.
