Cedarville University recently appointed Dr. Andrew Runyan as the first dean of graduate studies. This appointment represents a strategic step in positioning the University to expand its graduate programs and course offerings. Runyan previously served as chair of the Graduate Task Force, the Graduate Council, and the Institutional Review Board, and has taught within the current Masters of Education program.
According to Dr. Tom Cornman, academic vice president, "While the primary responsibility for each of the graduate programs will remain in the department and school within which that program is housed, Dr. Runyan will support graduate programs by developing overall strategies for their growth, working with departments to develop new graduate offerings, and ensuring that processes, policies and resources are in place to support graduate students and faculty."
