Jonathan Edwards Lecture

by Dr. Thomas Mach

On Thursday March 25, Epsilon Pi Lambda is hosting Dr. Eric Mounts who will be presenting a lecture on Jonathan Edwards and his view of government.
The organization has asked Dr. Mounts to focus on Edwards's work entitled "One Holy and Happy Society." In light of our campus theme, "Christ Alone," Dr. Mounts will enlighten us regarding how the great revivalist viewed the role of government and government officials in society.
The Great Awakening that Edwards played a role in during the 1730s and 1740s influenced the formation of our society both spiritually and politically. Edwards's thought on societal makeup and government role was built on his view of Scripture and will facilitate our own thinking on these important and timely matters.
We are honored to have Dr. Mounts, pastor of Southgate Baptist Church and Edwards scholar, on our campus.  Please join us on Thursday MArch 25 in BTS 115 at 7 p.m. to hear this important lecture.  There will be time for Q and A afterwards.
