April 19 at 12 p.m. and April 20 at 7 p.m., the community is invited to hear the Cedarville Opera Ensemble as it presents scenes from a variety of popular operas. The April 19 concert is a “Bach’s Lunch” event, meaning audience members may bring a boxed lunch with water. Both performances will take place in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center.
Performers include Greg Gallagher, Sarah Whitfield, Lisa Pollock, Alise Merrin, Catherine Stampfli, Daniel Strait, Vienna Trindal and Lisbeth Cummings. Stephen Estep will accompany on piano. The group will perform scenes from a number of operas, including “Trouble in Tahiti,” “The Marriage of Figaro,” “The Tenderland,” “La Traviata” and “Little Women.” Most scenes will be sung in English for a performance the entire family will enjoy.
