Orchestra to Present Concert

On April 15 at 7 p.m., the Cedarville University Orchestra will present a concert in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry. Jun Kim, assistant professor of music at Cedarville, will direct the performance.

The concert will feature the winners of Cedarville’s Student Concerto Competition in three categories: piano, instrumental and voice. Winners will perform the pieces presented in competition. Katrina Gingerich will play “Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5,” Stacey Russell and Anna Reisenweaver will perform “Doppler Andante and Rondo” for two flutes, and tenor Greg Gallagher will sing “Aria” by Donizetti.

Mikhail Petukhov, award-winning Russian pianist, and Dr. John Mortensen, professor of piano, will play Bach’s “C major concerto” for two keyboards and orchestra, accompanied by the Cedarville Orchestra.
