Inner city children benefit from a strong network of positive adults in their lives. That's why Kevin '96 and Lisa (Mariano) '99 Gwin have invested their lives in Chicago's East Garfield Park community. Both serve on staff at ministry organizations where they help young people get a strong educational foundation.
At Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Lisa coordinates a kindergarten readiness program for preschoolers. At Vision Nehemiah, Kevin coordinates a college scholarship program for high school students. Together, they helped plant Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in their neighborhood where Kevin serves as pastor. Chicago's inner city is their mission field, and they are
providing a support system that helps vulnerable children succeed.
