Gregory Couser, Ph.D., professor of New Testament and Greek at Cedarville University, received the Faculty Member of the Year Award for the 2010 –11 school year.

At Cedarville since 1994, Couser is widely known as being one of the most approachable professors on campus. Students constantly rave about his courses, describing them as rigorous and positively life-shaping. Couser is often reported as a professor who deeply cares for his students both in and outside of class. One student stated, “He deeply cares for each student in his class and he would do anything for any of them in order to see them grow closer to Christ.” During his time in the Bible department, Couser’s colleagues have witnessed his dedication to disciple students and peers and elected him to be the faculty developer, mentoring new faculty members as teachers and men of God.

Couser earned his Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
