Cedarville Welcomes Dr. Steve Strauss for Missions Conference

Cedarville University welcomes Steve Strauss, Ph.D. as its guest speaker for the 2012 Missions Conference to be held in January. Strauss, a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, will be speaking on the topic of “Sharpening the Mind for Christ with a Heart for Missions.”

Strauss served as a missionary in Ethiopia for 19 years, where he directed and taught at the Evangelical Theological College and was engaged in pastoral ministry at the International Evangelical Church. From 2001 to 2009, he served as Director of SIM USA. Since 2010, Strauss has been professor of missions at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Strauss will be joined by Fouad Masri, founder of The Crescent Project and Marilyn Laszlo from the Laszlo Mission League, as guest speakers during the morning chapels.

The conference begins Tuesday, January 10. Services are daily Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Each afternoon there will be seminars presented by missionary representatives. The conference will also host 80 to 90 mission representatives with displays set up to inform the public about their respective missions.
