Cedarville University welcomes Kelly Hiteshew, Pharm.D., R.Ph., to the faculty of the school of pharmacy. She will be serving as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice.
Hiteshew received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University. She also completed a community care residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a teaching certificate from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
Her experience in pediatric care has led to lectures at several universities, as well as research posters at conferences for the American Pharmacists Association and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
Hiteshew will provide clinical services for Columbus Neighborhood Health Center, where she will continue to expand her expertise in working with underserved and culturally diverse patients. The pharmacy services developed by Hiteshew in these primary care clinics will provide opportunities for Cedarville students to learn and serve in the ambulatory care setting.
Hiteshew learned about Cedarville through her cousin and brother, both of whom are recent Cedarville graduates. “They both had wonderful experiences, and witnessing both the education they received and relationships they built during their time here led to my interest in working for Cedarville,” she said. “I am very excited and honored to work with and learn from an excellent group of faculty in the new School of Pharmacy.”Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University attracts 3,200 undergraduate, graduate, and online students to more than 100 areas of study.
