by Public Relations

It’s a common question for many: What do I face in today’s job market?

Though questions about job placement and establishing a career may be overwhelming, the current and aspiring employee should know that there are answers.

On Feb. 18, Dr. Phil Gardner, economist and director of the Collegiate Employment Research Institute at Michigan State University (MSU), will present “Recruiting Trends 2011” at Cedarville University. Gardner will present recent information about looking for employment in the current job market, what skills employers are seeking and what possible job openings the recovering economy holds.

Gardner’s major areas of research include the transition from college to work, workforce readiness and early socialization and career progression in the workplace. MSU’s nationally recognized annual college labor market study is done under his direction each fall.

Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University attracts 3,200 undergraduate, graduate, and online students to more than 100 areas of study.
