The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra featured the premiere of “Celebration,” a piece composed by Steven Winteregg, D.M.A., dean of Cedarville University’s College of Arts and Sciences, at its concert on May 27, 2012 at Carillon Park.

Winteregg is the composer of four ballets and has had other orchestral pieces performed by the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, The Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Augsburg Symphony Orchestra and the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Winteregg said he feels blessed when someone performs one of his pieces. “I am constantly reminded where my ability to compose comes from. When I compose and have a composition performed, I feel that in many respects I'm paying tribute to a creative God.”
