Cedarville University will host prospective students and their families at the social work and psychology preview day on April 13, 2013.
The event will begin with registration at 8 a.m. in the Stevens Student Center. Activities throughout the day will give prospective students an opportunity to learn more about the University’s social work and psychology programs while meeting with department faculty and current students. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about internship and employment opportunities after graduation. The event also includes a lunch in the cafeteria and campus tours throughout the day.
Dr. Milton Becknell, chair for the department of psychology, said he desires to let prospective students and parents get to know the program and the faculty as individuals. “Preview day lets us showcase how we blend solid training in psychological science with an uncompromising Biblical perspective.”
Dr. Nelson Henning, chair of the social work department, said the preview day is invaluable for prospective students. “This is a great opportunity for the faculty to meet with prospective students and their parents,” Henning said. “We look forward to this event every year.”
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is available online.
