High School Students Invited to CU Friday

by Emily Finlay, Public Relations Writer

Cedarville University invites high school students and their families to experience life on campus at a CU Friday on March 28.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with Cedarville students and faculty as they explore the campus, academic programs and student life. A welcome session will begin the day with a word from Dr. Thomas White, president of Cedarville University, presentations from faculty and current students and a worship session with HeartSong ministries. After, visitors will experience chapel in specially reserved seating and listen to a message from Dr. White.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., students can choose to attend one of several options available each hour. These options include a campus tour, a financial aid workshop, a career services presentation on “Where a Degree from CU Can Take You” and a panel with current students. During this time, visitors can also enjoy lunch in the dining hall or attend one of several available classes.

The academic and student life fair begins at 2 p.m. Guests can intereact with professors, current students and faculty from every department on campus. Student life, HeartSong ministries, financial aid, admissions and many others will have representatives available to speak with students. During the fair, students can sign up to tour the residence halls at either 2:30 or 3 p.m.

At 3 p.m., guests can attend a presentation on dual enrollment or take a department tour. For the tour, students can choose from seven departments – allied health, English, music and worship, nursing, pharmacy, science and math, and theater.

Students also have the opportunity to spend the night in a residence hall with current students. This option costs $20 and includes lodging and an additional meal pass.
