Resound Radio Airs Christmas Special

by Laura Hinckley, Public Relations Writer

In celebration of the Christmas season, Cedarville University’s student radio station Resound Radio will broadcast a special hour-long program called “A Resounding Christmas.” The program will feature a carefully crafted mix of acoustic music and readings from the Max Lucado book “Cosmic Christmas,” an emotional retelling of the Christmas story from the perspective of the Angel Gabriel, performed and recorded by Cedarville students, faculty and staff.

This special program will feature many on-campus musicians and is co-produced by Brian Fanelli and Zach Lyons, both senior broadcasting and digital media majors at Cedarville. Their responsibilities included everything from arranging traditional Christmas songs, selecting program performances and organizing recordings.

According to Fanellli, the purpose of the program is to capture and celebrate God’s incredible act of love through the birth of Jesus Christ. “So often we forget how absolutely astounding it is that Jesus would leave the side of His Father in heaven and make His dwelling on this broken earth to reconcile our relationship with God,” said Fanelli, who also performed for the program.

“A Resounding Christmas” will air on Resound Radio five times throughout the Christmas season; on Dec. 9, 11 and 13 at 9 p.m., and Dec. 24 and 25 at 2 p.m. It will be available for a worldwide audience to listen at
