Worship 4:24 Conference Coming to Cedarville

by Laura Hinckley, Public Relations Writer

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Worship 4:24 Conference hosted by Cedarville University on Jan. 24-25. The conference is designed to equip worship leaders, musicians, praise teams, bands and tech crews to be effective leaders.

Co-sponsored by the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio and Cedarville’s department of music and worship, the conference will feature worship pastor Travis Cottrell and his senior pastor, Ben Mandrell, of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn.  Cottrell also served as worship leader for Beth Moore’s Living Proof Live conferences, enabling him to minister all over the United States and in several other countries.

Several breakout sessions will focus on diverse topics such as video in worship, drama ministry, using music notation software and instrumental clinics and will be led by speakers including Luke McElroy, Wes Willett, Matt McCoy and Paul Clark.

According to Roger O’Neel, associate professor of music and worship, the annual conference has brought many excellent speakers and musicians to Cedarville’s campus. “It not only exposes our students to some of the best leaders in the country in the area of worship,” he said, “but it also exposes us and our worship program to them.”

To register for this event, please call 1-877-CEDARVILLE (233-2784) or complete the form online. Before Dec. 18, registration costs $30 per person ($20 per student). After that date, guests can register until Jan. 15 for $49.95 per person ($30 per student).
