Senior to be International Director of SSE

by Victoria Stearns, Public Relations Writer

Cedarville University senior, Ben Saxe, will become the International Director for Self-Sustaining Enterprises of Mason, Ohio upon his graduation in May.

Self-Sustaining Enterprises (SSE) is a corporation whose mission is “to cultivate sustainable initiatives which systematically transform the lives of those who have been shackled by poverty.” The company seeks to use the free market to fuel transformational ministry and launch new businesses to provide employment, services, and funding for ministry organizations and the impoverished not only in America, but internationally as well.

Saxe, who was an intern at SSE in 2014, expressed humility with his appointment. Soon after his appointment, Saxe and his wife, Jaclyn, went on a mission trip with SSE to Port au Prince, Haiti and through that opportunity SSE sought to include him in their expanse and renewal of their international initiative.

In his position, Saxe will create a replicable model that will be employed in Mexico, Haiti, Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda. Once this has been established, Saxe can fully run his business ministry and help develop local entrepreneurs to further ministry opportunities in the area.

Saxe is currently raising financial support and seeking successful entrepreneurs and businesses in the United States. These businesses will partner with SSE in creating jobs in the community and will support nationals who want to do the same across the globe.
