Dr. Steve Viars, D.Min, senior pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, Indiana, will speak in Cedarville University’s chapel on April 1-2 at 10:00am in the Dixon Ministry Center.

Viars has served as a pastor and biblical counselor for 25 years at Faith Church and Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries in Lafayette.  He serves on several boards, including Vision of Hope, a faith-based residential treatment center for at-risk girls, the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and the American Red Cross. He is also the author of Putting Your Past in Its Place: Moving Forward in Freedom and Forgiveness.

Viars, according to information on the Faith Baptist Church website, believes it’s an honor to serve the Lord by sharing the Gospel. "It’s an incredible privilege to be able to teach the Word of God, and that people would be willing to show up and listen, and actually do something with it,” said Viars. “I don’t know how you could better spend your time than that.”
