Keith Getty, co-writer of “In Christ Alone,” “The Power of the Cross” and many other well-known modern hymns, will share his vision for worship during “A Conversation with Keith Getty” at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Cedarville University.
The event, which will take place in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall, is free and open to the public, but requires advance registration by November 16.
Getty and his wife, Kristyn, are known for pioneering the “modern hymn” by creating an impressive catalog of songs that cross classical composition with modern melodies.
They have been nominated for multiple Dove Awards, the Christian music industry’s highest honor, and have had numerous songs at the top of Christian music charts around the world.
The couple performed at Cedarville in 2007 as part of their fall tour, and also spoke in chapel during their stop.
They will be in Cincinnati to present their concert “Joy - An Irish Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. on November 20 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
