Admissions Office Launches "Bring a Friend" Initiative

by Madi Cannon, Public Relations Writer

Cedarville University’s admissions office is sponsoring a “Bring a Friend” initiative during the month of November to encourage high school students to visit campus.

Any high school students interested in participating in the “Bring a Friend” initiative this month can schedule a campus visit at cedarville.edu/visit. When registering, students should indicate that they want to participate in the “Bring a Friend” program. All prospective students, or current Cedarville University students, who bring a friend for an official campus visit in November will receive a complimentary Cedarville sweatshirt.
Visiting students start their day with an engaging multimedia presentation in the newly renovated presentation room, outlining what Cedarville has to offer academically, spiritually and socially.

“We always emphasize that you can only know so much about a school from its website,” said Brian Fanelli, associate director of admissions, guest services. “Without visiting campus, it is hard to know if the school is going to be a good fit for you. You always want to see it, experience it and interact with the people there.”

Guests experience a “day in the life” of a Cedarville student by touring the campus and residence halls, eating lunch with current students, meeting professors, sitting in on classes and a chapel service and even spending the night in a residence hall.

Approximately 2,100 guests have visited Cedarville’s campus so far this academic year, and the university has its sights set on another record enrollment
