Kyle and Christine Hoover

Kyle and Christine Hoover Speaking in Chapel

by Nicole Hackett, Student Public Relations Writer

Kyle Hoover, founder and lead pastor at Charlottesville Community Church (CCC) in Charlottesville, Virginia, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday, April 9. Christine Hoover, Kyle’s wife, will speak in chapel the following day. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

CCC started as a seven-person Bible study in the Hoovers’ home. Within a couple of months, the group outgrew the Hoovers’ living room and started meeting on Sunday mornings at the local community center. In August 2009, CCC had to move once again to a permanent location at Cale Elementary School because of its growing numbers.

CCC has continued to expand by planting churches in Crozet, Virginia and Ruckersville, Virginia.

Kyle has been serving in ministry since 1998. He has a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Texas A&M in Station, Texas, and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Kyle will speak from Daniel chapter 1 on what it means to be an exemplary exile for Christ.

Christine is a stay-at-home mom and author. She has written four published books, including “Messy Beautiful Friendship: Finding and Nurturing Deep and Lasting Relationships” and “The Church Planting Wife.” On her personal website, Grace Covers All, Christine writes a weekly blog and hosts a podcast, “By Faith.” Christine will speak from 2 Timothy 2:1-7 on cultivating a mind for service to Christ.
