Online Bible Institute President Speaking in Chapel

Bill MounceDr. Bill Mounce, founder and president of BiblicalTraining.org, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Thursday, Oct. 10. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

BiblicalTraining.org is a free, online seminary-level biblical training institute.

Mounce pastored a church in Spokane, Washington, and prior to that served as professor of New Testament and director of the Greek program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He also taught at Azusa Pacific University for 10 years.

Mounce serves on the Committee for Bible Translation, which is responsible for the New International Version (NIV) translation of the Bible. He is the author of the best-selling biblical Greek textbook “Basics of Biblical Greek,” along with many other Greek resources. He blogs regularly on Greek and issues of spiritual growth.

Mounce earned a bachelor's degree in biblical studies from Bethel University in 1974, a master’s degree in biblical studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1977 and a Ph.D in biblical backgrounds from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2000.

He and his wife, Robin, live in Washougal, Washington, and have three adult children.
