Cost Increase Explanation

Last month the board of trustees approved the operating budget and tuition, room, and board rates for the 2011-12 academic year. The board's decisions made the University's commitment to making a Cedarville education as affordable as possible.
The new tuition, room, and board rates represent a total increase of 3.6 to 3.7 percent. To accomplish this while maintaining outstanding service to students, we determined to reallocate resources, rather than pass operational cost increases along to students.
The January board meetings also marked the approval and launch of an exciting new strategic plan for Cedarville. Aggressive growth in online and graduate offerings, developmoent of targeted professional and health science programs, engagement with critical cultural issues, and intentional expansion of the University's reputation will advance Cedarville's impact for the glory of God here and around the world.
