One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

We can't wait to welcome you to campus! Coming to the United States to study can come with lots of questions, but at Cedarville, you'll be surrounded by a genuine community that is eager to make you feel at home.

Learn what to do before arriving on campus. When you get here, you can feel confident and excited for everything that God has for you!

Before Arriving

Choose Housing

Browse Cedarville's residence halls, then select housing and a roommate once the selection window opens in May of 2024. Need to find a roommate? Use RoomSync to find a good match.

Buy Items for Your Room

Most international, MK, and TCK students bring clothes and personal items with them and go shopping for other necessities after they arrive. During orientation, you'll get to go shopping at Walmart for the things you still need. If you would rather order anything ahead of time, you can order online from Walmart using the following address (your packages will be waiting when you get here!):

Pack for College

View a packing list to help you decide what to bring to campus. Make sure to pack a variety of clothes and layers so you'll be comfortable in the warm weather when you arrive as well as the cold, windy weather during winter.

Get Ready for Classes

Access your Cedarville email account when it becomes available in June of 2024. Cedarville uses Google Mail to communicate all important information. Your username and password are the same ones you used when applying. Next, order your course textbooks through the Campus Store. If you need to, be sure to choose or change your major. For further preparation, familiarize yourself with course information about choosing courses and classroom policies.

Register for Orientation

Orientation will help you get acclimated to life on campus and in the United States. See what you'll experience when you arrive, and get registered for orientation!

Arriving on Campus

Orientation

As a new international student, you'll experience four days of helpful sessions and fun activities to help you get oriented to life on campus. MK and TCK students are highly encouraged to attend as well. You'll get to meet other students and become familiar with the support and services across campus.

Orientation, which will take place from August 13–16, 2024, includes transportation from Dayton International Airport and meals for students that are attending. Each night, dinner is also provided for any family members, and breakfast and lunch can be purchased on campus or in town.

Arrival Times and Locations

You'll be able to move into your residence hall beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024. If you arrive before this, you will need to arrange your own housing. When you get here, Campus Security will issue you your keys. International Student Services will take care of all your meals until your meal plan begins on Friday, August 16.

Flights and Transportation

If you're flying, make sure your final flight arrives at Dayton International Airport. For your first arrival as a new student, International Student Services provides free airport pickups from Dayton. Reservations for airport pickup can be made when you register for orientation.

For future semesters and breaks, you can arrange transportation to and from the Dayton airport through Cedarville's Campus Experience office. You can also schedule a trip through Greene CATS, the county's public transit, request a taxi at the airport, or reserve a taxi in advance. Taxi fare costs between $50–$65.

Places to Stay

Cedarville is not able to accommodate guests overnight, but there are many local hotels available.

Places to Eat

There are dining options in town, as well as many international restaurants in the surrounding area that offer a taste of home.
