Cedarville University welcomes Robert Paris, Ph.D., to the faculty of the department of science and mathematics. Paris will be serving as assistant professor of biology.
Paris received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Berea College and his master’s degree in plant breeding and genetics from the University of Tennessee. He earned his doctorate, also in plant breeding and genetics, from Virginia Tech by studying yield, disease resistance and hull attachment in small grains.
Paris has worked in both the public and private sectors, including the United States Department of Agriculture and The American Chestnut Foundation. He is a member of the Agronomy Society of America and the Crop Science Society of America.
