Fortune 500 companies will be key representatives at Cedarville University’s career fair on October 10, 2012. The event will be held in the Stevens Student Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cedarville students and alumni are encouraged to attend.
Highlighting the event will be Wal-Mart, Cummins, Fifth-Third Bank, and Reynolds & Reynolds -- all Fortune 500 companies. The fair will include 48 participating businesses and will focus on connecting individuals in business and engineering, although all students and alumni may attend.
“Our career fairs have been successful as many students have gained paid internship positions or professional jobs after graduation,” said Jeff Reep, director of career services. “I am anticipating similar results this year.” In 2011, Cummins made 16 offers for internships or full-time positions to Cedarville students while Honda made eight position offers. This year, Sam's Club will be conducting on-campus interviews for opportunities for future graduates in manager training programs and summer internships.
Throughout the academic year, students work with the career services staff on career-enhancing workshops and resume writing. Cedarville has a team of certified professional resume writers on campus. There is no fee for students and alumni to use this service.
