OneVoice Gospel Choir will be the featured musical guests at the Miami Valley Women's Center Gala on Nov. 2.
OneVoice is a passionate and expressive ministry for Cedarville students committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Using a variety of musical styles, OneVoice creates a high-energy environment of worship that celebrates the diversity at Cedarville and within the body of Christ. OneVoice is the only musical group at Cedarville that does not require an audition to join , so rehearsals are open to anyone interested.
The Miami Valley Women’s Center (MVWC) opened in 1982 and serves as a crisis pregnancy center for women and families in the Greater Dayton area. The MVWC helps women with issues surrounding unplanned pregnancies, abortion, and many other life issues. The MVWC is a Christian faith-based organization that values life and demonstrates Christ’s love through offering free pregnancy care to women and families.
The gala is the MVWC’s annual fund-raising event. This year’s theme is “shining His light for life.” According to Diana Caldwell, MVWC director of development, the evening will consist of a silent auction, dinner, a message from guest speaker Reverend Arnold M. Culbreath, testimonies from MVWC clients, and sharing what God has done for the MVWC. “It’s an evening to get to know the ministry,” said Caldwell.
“We’re excited about OneVoice. They are gracious to come and share music with us,” said Caldwell. OneVoice will be singing during dinner at the gala. “OneVoice will add a spiritual feel to the evening because music lifts the soul,” said Caldwell.
“OneVoice’s last song will be ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow,’ because God’s eye has been on the ministry for the past 30 years. It’s a meaningful way to end the gala,” said Caldwell, who hopes that God will continue to bless the ministry.
The gala will be held at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. For more information about reservations or table sponsorship for the gala, call Diana or Sheri at (937) 298-2822, or visit the MVWC website.
