Companies from a variety of industries will be featured at Cedarville University’s spring career fair on March 21, 2013. The event, which is open to all majors, will be held in the Stevens Student Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cedarville students and alumni as well as students from other area schools are encouraged to attend.

The fair will include over 45 participating businesses and will emphasize connecting individuals in communications, marketing and sales, management, engineering, government, intelligence and ministry.

Attending companies include Reynolds and Reynolds, Fed Ex Freight, Speedway, Cintas and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Jeff Reep, director of career services, said the career fair is unique to Cedarville University and offers invaluable opportunities. “We’ve already had over 200 companies and organizations recruiting on our campus when many schools our size don’t have any on-campus events,” Reep said. “In the day of online applications, it’s a great opportunity for students to have face-to-face interaction with employers.”

Rita Heaton, event organizer and career services office manager, said that the event provides an opportunity for students to practice networking and interviewing skills. “The spring career fair is designed to bring opportunities for students in all class years,” Heaton said. “Since it offers a wide range of opportunities, it also gives an awesome chance for underclassmen to practice networking, build their professional contacts, and explore many different career fields.”
