Cedarville University’s Department of Art, Design, and Theatre presents Moliere’s “Tartuffe, or the Imposter,” a theatrical comedy that joins morals, manners, and mischief to create a hilarious masterpiece.
Orgon is fooled by Tartuffe, a religious imposter, but finally through several laughter-filled scenes, Orgon sees Tartuffe as the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” that he is. Often considered Moliere’s masterpiece, this play promises to bring laughter.
“Tartuffe, or the Imposter” opens April 4, 2013 at 8 p.m. Evening shows begin at 8 p.m on April 4-6 and 12-13 with matinee shows on April 6 and 13 at 2p.m. and April 14 at 3 p.m. The event is open to the public and tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students.
