At the close of the fall 2013 semester, Thomas White, president of Cedarville University, announced the appointment of Erin M. Shaw as Instructor of Women’s Ministry. Shaw will begin her role in January 2014.
Shaw has extensive experience in women’s ministry. Most recently she served as the women’s coordinator for college and young singles at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla. In this role since 2006, Shaw taught and organized small group bible studies, retreats, community outreach events, internships, international mission trips and other church-wide events.
“I am thankful to God for leading us to Erin Shaw,” said White. “I believe she will have a tremendous impact in the lives of our students because of her academic studies and experience in women’s ministries.”
Shaw has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and a master of divinity degree in women’s studies from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. She has participated or led five international mission trips, including last summer to Uganda where she was the primary teacher for a women’s conference.
