Jon Wood serves as Vice President for Student Life and Christian Ministries. In this role, he provides strategic vision, direction, and leadership for the student development, outreach ministries, and student services of the university. Particular areas of responsibility include Cedarville University's campus recreation, career services, church relations, counseling services, discipleship ministries, global outreach ministries, heartsong ministries, university medical services, onevoice gospel choir, production services, residence life, and student life programs. He teaches courses in the School of Biblical and Theological Studies and, as an ordained minister, seeks to provide pastoral leadership to the student body.
Prior to his arrival at Cedarville, Wood served in various leadership roles in student services and as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Wood received his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in systematic theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a research focus in the doctrine of Scripture and hermeneutics. Jon and his wife, Ellen, have three children, Jackson, Olivia, and Parker.
