Preceptors

Seeking Preceptors for a Developing PA Program

As a preceptor, you are vital to physician assistant students' education during their clinical year. PA students have gained extensive medical knowledge through the first year of training and now, under your guidance, will put it into practice. During the clinical year, students develop and refine clinical skills in preparation to serve and deliver competent and compassionate healthcare.

Professional

Cedarville University is developing its application for Accreditation - Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Cedarville University anticipates matriculating its first class in May 2023, pending achieving Accreditation - Provisional status at the September 2022 ARC-PA meeting.

Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

In the event that ARC-PA withholds accreditation, the Cedarville University PA Program will not accept students or commence with the program. Cedarville will provide a refund for paid deposits to individuals accepted into the program. CASPA application fees are non-refundable by Cedarville or CASPA.

Status updates will be posted as they are obtained; please contact us if you have questions about where we are in the process.
