Borrowing Materials
Library materials may be checked out with your valid Cedarville University ID card or Greene County Public Library card at the Service Desk. Reference books and main collection periodicals may not be taken from the Library.
- Undergraduate students may check out up to 99 items (50 OhioLINK)
- Faculty/Staff/Graduate students may check out up to 200 items (all can be OhioLINK)

Placing a Hold
If the materials you need are not available, you may place a hold on them through the Centennial Library Catalog so that you can receive them next. You will be notified by e-mail when the item is available. You may also place on hold materials that are in processing or on order.
Renewing Materials
- Renew online
- Log into your account by entering your name and barcode number (the 14 digit number along the bottom of your ID card).
- Click on 'items currently checked out.'
- To renew a specific book, click in the check box next to the title and click on 'RENEW SELECTED ITEMS.' You can renew all materials that qualify for renewal by clicking on 'RENEW ALL.'
- Renew in person
Present the materials and your university ID card at the Service Desk.
You may not renew your items if:
- An overdue notice has already been sent for the item
- You owe the Library money
- A request has been placed for the item by another patron
- There is a block on your academic record
- The item has been renewed the maximum amount of times allowed.
Returning Materials
Please return all materials to the book drop at the Service Desk. Book returns are also located in the entryway and on the loading dock at the rear of the Centennial Library.

*You will be charged a $50 late fee if you return OhioLINK materials after they have been billed.
Lost and Damaged Materials
If you lose or damage an item, please notify library personnel immediately. You will be charged the current cost and a billing fee/processing fee. Per OhioLINK policy, there is a $125 per item replacement charge for lost OhioLINK materials.
Requesting from Other Libraries

If you cannot find a resource in the library's catalog, check OhioLINK! If you live in Ohio near a participating library, you can have the materials delivered directly to that library.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If you cannot find your material through the catalog or OhioLINK, fill out a request to borrow it through Interlibrary Loan, a nation-wide library lending network.
